Turning a traditional menstrual cup into a stem cell preservation device

Stem cells have the potential to cure major human diseases like cancer and Alzheimer's... if only researchers can get enough of them to study. But current stem cell collection methods are so invasive, they only result in about 4,000 new samples each year.

It turns out that millions of people have been disposing of a stem cell rich substance every month: their period blood. We just needed a way to save it from the trash.

This situation led to The Cure Cup: a specially crafted lid that turns a traditional menstrual cup into a stem cell preservation device. With scientifically vetted features to get samples from bathroom to lab, The Cure Cup is the first period product to preserve blood instead of dispose of it.
